Alien - 1979 - Ridley Scott
You have just been hired by the Seaquam Signal as the Movie Reviewer. Its a great job but before you get a long term contract, your boss asks you to view 'Alien' and write a professional movie review. Good luck!
A: The movie Alien is one of the best sci-fi horror films of all time. It can highly be praised for it's suspensful scenes and its action. The sheer and raw horror is great and the Alien looks totally badass.
Throughout the movie, there is always suspense, even in it's smallest form. Literally every scene will have you on the edge of your seats with suspense. The movie also utilizes suspense very well. The movie is also action packed!!! There is alot of action that will leave you waiting for more. Even though the horror is quite predictable. First there was alot then there was one... or something like that. But, we see the full crew at the beginning of movie and then one by one each of the crew gets picked off by the alien and it's up to Ripley to find and kill the alien. Although there is a big surprise at the end. I'm not gonna spoil it though. I, personally, really like the cat in the movie. The cat also adds another task for Ripley to complete. Ripley had to save the cat at the end of the movie because she dearly loves the cat. I also love the slogan on the movie poster. "In space, no one can hear you scream" this slogan actually is a really good clue to figuring the movie. Next, the characters are really well planned out by the director. There are two characters that are somewhat hostile towards the other crew at some points in the movie and it kinda makes you wonder if they are going to turn on the crew or not. They eventually get killed at the end of the movie. All the rest of the cast has really good acting and they are nice dynamic characters. Overall the movie is great and even though it has a horror aspect to it, there isn't too much that it will scare the crap out of you. A nice, thrilling, well balanced and action packed movie I would give it 9.6/10
