The Cabinet Of Dr.Caligari - Robert Wiene - 1919
This will be a timeline that shows and depicts the major horror films, actors, and even film studios of the silent era. I will also have a paragraph or two, on this page, about the German Expressionism used in the film and what it is. The link to my timeline is that button at the bottom of the page.
German Expressionism was used before World War 1. German Expressionism was originally based in art. German Expressionism was also used in films too. Some examples are: The Cabinet Of Dr.Caligari and Nosferatu, both very popular German movies, especially Horror and "film noir" movies. In German Expressionism, the art was very weird, for example, nothing is square, everything is on a slant. This was used alot in the film The Cabinet Of Dr.Caligari.
